Out of The Darkness

This piece was inspired by an image which has been embedded in my mind for years. It’s a scene that has been featured in many movies and tv shows…those eery few moments as a dragon or demon emerges slowly from a dark cave.

The rock used in creating this piece was found on Portmarnock beach on the coastline of Dublin, Ireland. I’m extremely lucky to have this beautiful beach so close by. It has a great mix of soft sand with areas brimming with interesting stones & rocks. Many of the elements I’ve used for my art are sourced here.
