What Lies Beneath

This is the first in a series of images I created by photographing and editing an intriguing piece of salvaged driftwood. The wood itself is bursting with character and I knew from the moment I started examining the textures, patterns and tones of the wood, that by using the right lighting set up and shot at optimal angles, the end results would be captivating.
